The Start Of Something New

MY PAINTINGS NEEDED A SOUNDTRACK.

THIS IS THAT

You Left The Fan On

An ambient soundscape that compliments the late nights and lonely cities. Hums of distant strings, from violins to guitars, are interrupted by atmospheric bells, echoing throughout the song.

To me, this song resembles that dreamy landscape you feel in your mind when the whole world is asleep, and the universe rests in silence, and all you can hear is the spinning motion in the fan. Your mind wanders off to a place far away from your conscious.

Glass Blocks

The look of glass blocks is very distinctive and calming, specifically when the soft movement of tropical plants and greenery acts as a background. It gets deformed and twisted into unique colour patterns and movements, it almost feels rhythmic.

The blend of the strong structured pattern in glass blocks with so many soft edges and blends of colour was a major influence for this song. The piano clinks give the same structure while still allowing for juxtaposing synths that bring that sense of colour and movement.

My Vision Is Blurred

I love breaking down the world into a blurred landscape of shape, line, colour, and energy. This makes a good foundation for paintings, acting almost as reference photos. It is another challenge in order to turn that visual world into a soundscape.

Inspired by the world of nature, this is my attempt at capturing a distinctive visual world as sounds, using a strong mix of delays and reverbs to bring that sense of life to the song.

The Beginning Of Something More.

Inspired by the greats of classical and ambient music, my goal is to experiment with sounds and rhythm to create a sense of life and beauty that compliments my other visual work. I have always loved music, and to create a soundtrack to my own life and paintings feels quite special.

These aren’t incredible pieces of music but it is authentic to myself, and to me, that is all that truly matters.
